Advanced Audio Production (15-B)
The Advanced Audio Production master class provides an in-depth examination of the theory and practice of audio recording, mixing, and editing. Students will explore well beyond the basics to cover such topics as remote room recording, conducting interviews via phone or Skype, sound editing, layering, effects, music recording, compression and output. Additionally, this class will provide students a working understanding of Pro Tools, an industry standard audio production platform.
Instructor Jim Bloch has over 30 years of experience in sound design, production, and engineering. He is the owner of BlochHouse Media, a full service audio production firm that provides consulting and design services, as well as location and in-studio production for video, radio, podcasting, and CD creation.
